PARIS (AP) — An incendiary device was detonated outside the Russian Consulate in Marseille in the early hours of Monday. This incident coincided with the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported following the explosion.

A second device was also reported to have been thrown against the outer wall of the consulate. Unlike the first, this device did not explode and instead fell onto the sidewalk. In response to the situation, a bomb disposal expert was summoned to the scene to handle the failed device.
