"Rainy Friday Ahead: Grab Your Umbrella!"

Don’t forget that umbrella before you head out of the door Friday morning

As Friday approaches, residents are reminded to take precautions against the weather, particularly by not forgetting their umbrellas before heading out. A drizzly start to the day is expected, which will transition into more significant rainfall later in the afternoon.

According to weather specialist Allister Aalders from 95-7, the forecast indicates that the morning drizzle will continue, giving way to periods of rain and fog throughout the evening. Temperatures are predicted to drop to around 3 degrees Celsius, with rainfall accumulation expected between 5 to 10 mm. In certain areas, residents might experience local accumulations of up to 15 mm of rain.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the weather forecast suggests that the rain will diminish by noon, allowing for some partial clearing in the afternoon. The high temperature for the day is projected to be around 10 degrees Celsius. Residents can expect a more settled day on Sunday, featuring only a few clouds in the sky and daytime highs reaching approximately 7 degrees Celsius.

As we move into Monday, the sunshine is expected to persist, which may bring some relief from the previous rain; however, daytime highs are predicted to remain low at around 3 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, there is a possibility of flurries starting later in the evening on Monday and continuing into Tuesday, hinting at a shift towards colder conditions as the week progresses.

In summary, the weather pattern for this week indicates a mix of rain, clearing skies, cooler temperatures, and the potential for light snow flurries. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and prepared for the various weather conditions that may arise.
